IDA was launched in December 2022 to address regional growth and sustainability goals for Italian data centres. It is the first Italian association of data centre developers and operators and aims to increase recognition of the data centre industry in Italy. The association will provide guidelines, support, education, and upskilling for new technologies. It will also work to define standards and norms for the data centre community. The inauguration of IDA took place in Peschiera Borromeo (region of Lombardy) on 16 March 2023. ICTS Italy, as a member, participated in this launch event and enjoyed the opportunity to network with experts from across the sector. “The membership will give us a great platform to showcase ICTS’ capabilities as a leading provider of physical security services to the data centre community and it will enable us to gain invaluable insights into the latest trends and best practices”, said Luca Crevani, Operations Manager, General Security, ICTS Italy. On December 19, ICTS France started to provide security services to Ryanair’s bi-weekly flights departing from Paris-Beauvais Airport to Eilat-Ramont Airport, Israel. TopImgBut ICTS France starts providing services to Ryanair at Paris Beauvais airport ICTS is responsible for provision of enhanced security services at the check-in and the gate and aircraft protection. ICTS France already supplies similar services to Ryanair flights departing from Marseille Airport to Tel Aviv since October 2019. In addition, Ryanair reached out to ICTS France with a last-minute request to support the airline with security services for its bi-weekly direct flights to Amman, Jordan. Within 5 days, ICTS France managed to prepare and set up the entire operation. ICTS also provides enhanced security services for this destination. The short and intensive preparation period was well appreciated by the management of Ryanair. TopImgBut NBA basketball team secured by ASP’S K9 ASP provided specialist canine (K9) security services, a service it also provides to Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment (MLSE), a sports and commercial real estate company based in Toronto, which manages the following professional sports teams: Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Raptors, Toronto Argos, Toronto FC as well as many special events/concerts, etc. The K9 services provided included, explosives sweeps of venue, players/artists' locker rooms, patrolling gates and sweeps of unattended bags/vehicles/items or suspicious items etc, throughout the duration of the sporting events / concerts.
